Nuova Metalmeccanica operates in the naval and marine engineering sector, carrying out specialist work on ships and motor vessels — delivering certified fabrication, full vessel conversions and compliance upgrades to RINA (Registro Italiano Navale) standards.
Naval and Marine Engineering
We carry out naval steelwork, vessel conversions and structural modifications in accordance with RINA requirements.
We also perform steelwork in confined spaces, carried out by dedicated teams trained and certified in accordance with Italian confined space regulations (DPR 177/2011).
For Cementir Italia S.p.A., we completed the full conversion of the MV Maria Dormio into a purpose-built bulk cement carrier, equipped for the transport, storage, loading and unloading of bulk cement between ship and quayside in both directions. The vessel was subsequently renamed MV Mar Grande.
